Intercultural trainings for various groups |
 |
 |
As a result of his books, Jacob Vossestein is frequently asked as a speaker for congresses and seminars on various issues, usually business-oriented. Among such lectures and discussions were a business congres in Puerto Rico, a migrant congres in New Zealand as well as events in various European countries. Focuissing on this culturally extremely varied continent, he also executes training programmes and lecturing on European cultural differences. Such differences may be less striking than those between the Netherlands and e.g. Nigeria or Singapore, but exactly therefore they can be more unexpected and puzzling.

After several study trips to relevant countries, he wrote a book (in Dutch, for a start) on the outlines of the three major culture areas of Central and Eastern Europe
Target groups are Dutch people who visit those countries for work, be it commercially or in the field of consultancy, twin city programmes, educational co-operation etcetera.
In 2004 Jacob worked a few times in Slovenia, first as a guest speaker at the Gazela Award event in Ljubljana, honouring successful local entrepreneurs ( www.gazela.com ), later as a trainer for Slovenian business people and the local Chamber of Commerce, through the Slovenian-Dutch Business Platform ( SDBP - www.sdbpnet.com ) and the Dutch-Slovenian company Axent ( www.axent.si ).
